I’m fundraising for Room to Read because world change begins with the privilege of education...
But education shouldn't be a privilege. Education should be a right; no matter a child's gender, race, religion or circumstances. Room to Read envisions a world where all children can pursue a quality education; where all children are enabled to reach their full, dream-achieving potential, and where all children are allowed to contribute to the future of the planet.
Room to Read transforms the lives of millions of children in low-income, underprivileged communities. They work closely with children, teachers, partner organisations and governments to help young kids develop vital literacy skills and give them the life-changing opportunity to love reading. The majority of donations go toward construction of libraries and school rooms, stocked and upkept with books, as well as publishing books in local languages and establishing spaces for computer & language learning. Particularly, they support little girls to complete secondary school in countries where female education is not a right, but a luxury; gearing them with the life skills to succeed beyond education. A matter very close to my heart.

Why your help matters
We want to ensure every child has access to a high-quality education, with appropriate grade-level texts, a library budding with books, and a safe classroom with teachers helping them resist pressure to drop out for work or marriage. We're creating world change that helps low-income communities break the cycle of poverty by improving literacy rates and getting one step closer to graduation day.
