Lean In Switzerland has paired up with the Zurich Chapter of Room to Read for the yearly Lean In fundraising event. 

Our goal is to raise 2,100 CHF to send 7 girls to Girls Education Program of Room to Read for one year. 

You can support this campaign in multiple ways: 

1) Get your ticket for the event on October 31st in Zurich: 'The Power of Education'. 

Watch with us a segment from a powerful movie 'Half the Sky' and learn from our amazing key note speaker Prof. Dr. Manu Kapur from ETH Zurich about designing for failure to drive learning. 

All proceedings from the ticket sales will go directly to Room to Read.

2) If you can't join the event but the topic of girls education means a lot to you, click the blue donate button at the top of this page. Every donation counts, thank you in advance! 

3) If you are planning to join the event but you have had a good month and feel like sending some more love into the universe, you can both purchase your ticket to the event AND make additional donation! Making only a donation is not a registration to the event.

Why Room to Read? 

Many world problems can be addressed through one solution: education. Why? Because knowing how to read makes people safer, healthier and more self-sufficient -- yet nearly 800 million people are illiterate and two thirds are women and girls. That's why Room to Read's innovative model focuses on deep, systematic transformation within schools in low-income countries during the two most critical time periods in a child's schooling: early primary school for literacy acquisition and secondary school for girls' education.
