The Tokyo Marathon is in March 2025 and I have the opportunity to join this event through global non-profit organizations, Room to Read!

I’m fundraising for Room to Read because I believe that world change starts with educated children.

Running and fundraising for Room to Read is a powerful way to help provide young students with the skills and confidence they need to build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities. I am committed to becoming a charity runner for Room to Read in the 2025 Tokyo Marathon to help 8,000 young learners and girls in historically low-income communities access quality education.

Room to Read envisions a world in which all children can pursue a quality education that enables them to reach their full potential and contribute to their communities and the world.

By focusing on literacy and gender equality in education, Room to Read transforms the lives of millions of children in low-income communities. Working in collaboration with local communities, partner organizations and governments, they help primary school children develop literacy skills and a habit of reading, and support girls to complete secondary school with the relevant life skills to succeed in school and beyond.
