Educating girls is widely acknowledged as the most powerful and effective way to address global poverty.

Girls who finish secondary school earn more money, have smaller, healthier families, and are more likely to educate their own children - breaking the cycle of illiteracy within their families. 

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, girls in low-income communities faced huge challenges to completing their education.

We now face a global crisis, disproportionately affecting the world's most vulnerable children, particularly girls, as learning continues to be disrupted at schools.

I am part of a team raising funds for Room to Read's Girls' Education Program by HIKING & WALKING during the month of May!
